The Jack Spence Chess Club meets most Wednesday nights at West Hills Church (between Center and I80 at the 84th Street exit) from 7 to 10pm. The front doors lock at approximately 6:45pm, so try to be there on time!

Please bring sets, boards, and clocks. We cannot guarantee that others will have equipment you can borrow. Scoresheets and pens are provided. US Chess membership is required for most events.
A general note: if you or your child are sick, i.e,. coughing incessantly, runny nose, etc., PLEASE DO NOT COME TO CLUB. Email john@spencechessclub.org ahead of the round and withdraw, take a bye, etc. It’s incredibly disrespectful to others to put their health at risk.

Jan 7: 3rd Split Action
3-SS. G/20,d5. EF: $5 at site. CASH ONLY. Two sections, field split in half. All EFs returned minus expenses. One bye allowed; if round three, must be requested before beginning of round two. Registration 6:30-6:55pm. We start at 7pm, so don’t be late!
Jan 14-Feb 4: 18th Swiss
4-SS. G/80;d5. EF: $5. CASH ONLY. $$ (40 b/10, prizes proportional to entries with additions as entries allow) 15-10, U1600, U1300 each 7.50. One bye allowed; if rd four, must be requested before beginning of rd three. Registration: 6:30-6:55pm. Rds: 7pm each Wednesday.
